Specialized Housing Options
Syracuse University offers first-year and returning students the opportunity to
enroll in a learning community or live in special interest housing.
Participation in a learning community supports students in developing skills and attitudes that enhance academic achievement, helps them make friends quickly and easily, and gives them the tools to balance their academic and social lives. Special interest housing opportunities include quiet lifestyle, substance free, or transfer student housing.
Learning communities and special interest housing are a collaboration among Academic Affairs, Students Affairs, and the
housing office.
